This totally depends on your wedding day, how many locations are involved, and if you want me to capture your exit! For a full wedding day, I recommend 8 hours because I want to photograph your day the best I can from the beginning to the end. I am there to tell your story and being there from getting ready to the reception is important for me to do that! I would say 8-9 hours is average to ensure I’m there for everything. As long as you’re not doing a super early ceremony with a late exit, 8-9 hours will cover your full day! 10 hours is for the people who are either doing an afternoon ceremony and still want me there to the end of the night or just want to ensure we have as much time for pictures as possible!
I have packages but most everything is customizable. Second shooters are not required but something I highly recommend and encourage my couples to book. A second shooter is there to capture everything I can’t. They will be with the groomsmen for getting ready while I’m with the bridesmaids, they will be sure to capture the groom’s face up close during the precessional while I’m photographing the bride walking down, and they will be shooting cocktail hour while I’m doing family portraits and bridal party! It’s also an awesome insurance policy knowing you have two people capturing all those important, once in a lifetime moments!!
Engagement sessions are not required but they are so worth doing! The last thing I want is to show up to the wedding day to meet you for the first time and have to earn your trust and make you feel comfortable! Having a camera around you for 8-10 hours takes some getting used to and I want you to feel like I am a friend you’ve known for years so that I can best capture the emotion taking place! We have limited time for portraits on the wedding day and I want to be sure you know how I work and are familiar with my posing! Also, I just want to get to know you!! Our uninterrupted time at the engagement session is such a fun time for me to learn about you!
NO! None of my couples have been photographed before and it is my job to make sure you look comfortable and have fun. Do not stress about that at all!! I have spent years posing couples and one of my favorite things is watching a couple gain confidence and have so much fun at a shoot! I will walk you through every single pose and talk the entire time!!
Over 200 weddings! I have seen just about everything in the last ten years as a photographer and you can rest assured you won’t have to worry about a thing!! It is my job to show up to new venues to work with new people no matter the conditions and to make it look beautiful!

The day of our wedding, Meredith was my absolute LIFESAVER. She showed up early, interacted with us, gave us direction and made us feel at ease. We had never met her but I felt like we could have been close friends.
This sounds silly, but on our wedding day she also did an amazing job making sure we enjoyed it. She noticed my husband and I didn't get a chance to eat so she "took us for photos" and made us go enjoy some dinner and played bodyguard. It was the BEST idea and my husband and I were able to talk privately for a few minutes and eat the delicious dinner. It was one of our favorite moments of the day. I also wasn't sure if I wanted to take twilight photos. Meredith convinced us to do a couple and they ended up being some of my favorite of the day.
