I got a text from my sweet friend Hannah who lives in the D.C. area about two months ago telling me she wanted to come visit me and wanted to know when would be a good time. I have traveled a ton with Hannah and she truly is the most joyful, genuine soul you will EVER meet. I mean it. There’s not a human in this world who she couldn’t befriend. Haha.
I was so excited when she texted me and we immediately found a day that worked. I always ask Hannah where she wants to go or what she wants to do when we are together or when we travel and she’s literally the chillest, most easy going person and usually just says, “I’m good with anything! What do you want to do?” So when I asked her what she wanted to do in Charlottesville when she came, I think she said, “I’m fine with just going to a coffeeshop but if you want to do something else, I’m all for it.” Whenever friends from out of town visit, I want it to at least be remotely fun so I had to figure out SOMETHING cool. We did go to a coffeeshop and sat outside on the downtown mall but then we ventured to the Blue Ridge Parkway since Hannah has never been to this part of it. We brought our cameras and since I have been telling Hannah about my Sony A7iii, I wanted to show it to her and somehow we ended up having a full on photoshoot. I’m not complaining — it was so fun!
It was the middle of the day so the light was HARSH for most of these and I feel like I was challenged when shooting and editing but it was good! I actually adore how they all turned out and Hannah is just the cutest model. I always laugh so hard when I’m with her and am so thankful for her friendship! If you don’t know this girl, you’re missing out! Enjoy a few of my favorites from our day together!
