Pharsalia will forever be one of my favorite places to shoot. I will never forget the first time I shot there back in 2017. Ever since, I’ve been obsessed with it and I was so excited Riley wanted to do her senior portraits there. I’ve mainly shot engagements and couples at this venue so I knew it would be fun to do a senior session. I always shoot in some of the iconic spots on the property like the front of the house and in the side yard with the view but I went a little early to scout and think of some new ideas since I often feel like I can be a bit more creative with one person and I am in love with how these turned out. It definitely helps that Riley looks like a real life Disney princess. Haha. She had the best outfits and holy moly, she has some gorgeous hair and her eyes are crystal blue. When I posted my recent Instagram of her, everyone agreed on these things!

Every senior I photograph is a little different and it is such a joy for me to get to capture their personalities and also just to get to know them. Riley goes to the same high school I went to and while she is a good bit younger than me, she is so mature and I honestly felt like I was photographing a friend. She is so bubbly and also has such a sweet, kind heart. The other day I was talking to a friend about how stunning my seniors are on the outside and how fashionable they are but more importantly than that, they are all really wonderful humans on the inside who have been raised so well. I can definitely tell when I photograph them because of the way they interact with me and carry themselves. I just love following along with their lives and after just photographing them for two hours, I weirdly feel like their personal cheerleader in life. Haha.

I’m so grateful for all the people I meet through this career!! Riley, you are a gem!!! I adored my time with you and am rooting for you as you enter a new season of life called COLLEGE next year! You’re going to kill it!
