When I first moved to Oahu, all of the shoots I got were people traveling to Hawaii who had followed me on Instagram already and were familiar with me from being back on the east coast. It was honestly such a huge blessing. When we first decided to move out to Hawaii, I was so excited but in an absolute panic that I would have no work for months. And knowing the cost of living was almost double what we were spending in Virginia, that was scary. But God provided so beautifully and I can’t believe I ever doubted it would work out.

Brigitte is also a photographer and she and her husband Thomas live in the DC area. They were celebrating their anniversary here in Hawaii and hired me for a mini couples shoot and I had so much fun with them that I couldn’t stop shooting! Haha!! We shot at one of my very favorite places on the island and it was such a dream! These Kualoa mountains never cease to blow me away and I can’t believe this is my backyard!!
