A few months ago I got the opportunity to shoot this super fun elopement at Turtle Bay and the more elopements I do, the more I fall in love with them. Elopements are seriously all the best parts of wedding days and because they’re always smaller and more relaxed, they don’t even feel like work most of the time. I loved shooting this one because this location offers SO much variety and it really feels like Hawaii. There are jungle areas, beach spots, and rocky sunset views. The light this day as the evening went on was absolutely breathtaking and the sunset was so vibrant!! I am obsessed with how the portraits turned out.
Jessica and Sean were such a sweet couple and made this day feel so easy-going! They started the day with a first look and immediately after we began some portraits. After that they had a quick ceremony by the water. We did some family photos after that and spent the rest of the time doing more bride and groom portraits. I love how we didn’t have to rush for anything and the families just went ahead to enjoy some drinks at their dinner spot while waiting for the us to finish up photos.
These two were down for all the fun photo spots and because of that, they really got a fun variety of images. But I mean, who wouldn’t want to wander around for an hour after taking couples photos in Hawaii?!
