This blog post is extra special to me because Kiarra and Luke are some of our best friends!! It is CRAZY how much has changed since I did their engagement photos though. They are now married, have an almost one year old, and sadly they’ve moved to Virginia Beach! It’s such a weird world because we met them here in Hawaii but they moved to our old stomping grounds of Virginia! Kiarra quickly became one of my very best friends here on Oahu and we got to walk through a lot of motherhood together which was so special. It was very, very sad when they moved a couple months ago and we still miss them so much but it was fun to go back through these photos and reminisce on this sweet time together!

This is easily one of my favorite shoots that I’ve ever done on Oahu! Sometimes it’s nerve racking capturing friends because it seems like there’s more pressure. Haha! But Kiarra and Luke were so fun and easy to photograph. I adore this location and this night, the light was stunning and Kiarra is just gorgeous so that made things easy too. When I took these photos, Raleigh was only about four months old and little did I know that Kiarra would be pregnant soon after with her daughter. I think that’s a huge reason capturing different milestones is so cool. You look back one day and truly get to relive those moments. So much can change in such a short time and that’s why I love my job. It’s such a gift and I feel so blessed to have captured this engagement season for Luke and Kiarra!!!
