Richmond Virginia Film Engagement Photographer | Jennifer + Jasen

July 18, 2016

When I am in the process of responding to wedding inquiries, I am sure to be clear that I really want to work with couples who appreciate photography and are willing to have a good time with me through the process. I love a couple who is so excited to get married and can’t help but enjoy taking photos together. Photos can sometimes be something to check off a list but I love when my couples can’t wait to pick out their outfits and be together in front of my lens! When I first got Jennifer’s inquiry, I could tell she was excited about her day in a way that made me want to be a part of her day too. In her first few emails, she sent me inspiration photos of her vision for her colors and she even attached photos of her and Jasen together, along with a little story of how they met and why she loves him. 🙂 It might be hard to believe but sometimes I don’t know what my couples look like until I show up to their engagement session so it’s always really fun seeing a face beforehand over email or Facebook.

The time I spent with Jennifer and Jasen at their engagement session in Richmond a few weeks ago is something I’m so grateful for. We hit a few different locations, all of which I loved and the last one ended up being a park overlooking the city where they had their first date! The views were better than any other park I’ve been to in RVA before and although it had been cloudy the beginning of the shoot, the sun came out and gave us opportunity for a few golden shots at that gorgeous park! 🙂 I shot a lot of film at this shoot which made waiting for the scans so painful but so worth it! Now I can finally share their amazing engagements with you today!! Enjoy! You can also view their photos on Style Me Pretty!
