How does time seem to pass so quickly?! It’s been three years since I photographed Emily’s sister Sarah and I remember thinking that day when I finished Sarah’s portraits and they told me I’d get to photograph Emily in a few years that it felt SO SO far away. At that point I had just started my official business. In fact, I think I got my business license in fall of 2013. I left school to pursue my dream and it’s absolutely amazing to look back on the people who invested and believed in me way back then and who continue to follow me now. I’m so thankful for the Kullman family for that very reason!!
So when Emily decided she wanted her photos done on their family’s farm where I did Sarah’s, I was so thrilled because I loved that property and couldn’t wait to make Emily’s shoot different from her sister’s while being back in a familiar place. I showed up to about twenty cows crossing the road in the driveway (I actually had to wait for them to cross the road) and I knew I was back on the farm. Haha!!
Emily is one of the sweetest, most down-to-earth senior girls I’ve had the pleasure of knowing and photographing. She is so mature and I truly felt like one of her friends while photographing her. It was fun to talk about her senior year, chat about prom, and hear where she hopes to go to college but beyond that it was such an amazing thing to work with Emily! She has the cutest style, her laugh is contagious, and she’s completely gorgeous!! This fall shoot is one of my favorites! Emily, I have been so excited for this to be the first peek you have at your senior photos!! Thank you for letting me capture your senior year! You are such a special girl and I’m excited to hear where next year takes you!! <3
