It’s always important as a photographer to plan shoots for fun and I’ve been telling my roommate McKenna since the winter that we need to do a mini shoot. Well, we finally made it happen and it turned from a mini shoot into a full on styled shoot. Haha! We went to Anthropologie to pick out a couple outfits and walked away with five. Oops. Every time I work with Anthropologie, I always plan to leave with two or three outfits and then leave with five or more! I just can’t help but want to shoot everything. They had just gotten in a couple new summer pieces (the denim jumpsuit and the black lace dress) and I just loved them! I also ended up buying the first romper that we used in the shoot and I wear it pretty much every other day. 🙂

We started at UVA and spent a couple hours wandering around the campus photographing the first couple outfits which worked out perfectly! UVA has so many fun spots for photos this time of year and now that the Rotunda is done, all the white columns just made me so happy. After we shot the outfits I had picked out for UVA, we went over to Monticello Trail to catch sunset which was so gorgeous! We even made a couple deer friends that we tried to get in the shot. Didn’t work out too well. Haha!

I shot a little bit of film at this shoot so I’ve been slaving away trying to edit my digital more closely to the film and it’s taken what feels like forever but I FINALLY get to share these images and I’m SO excited! McKenna, thanks for being the best roommate and putting up with me posing you for four hours in the summer heat! So excited to share these! Hope you guys love them as much as me!!
