For some reason this family session feels like a lifetime ago but it was only a few months ago. I can’t believe we’ve officially lived in Hawaii for over a year. I think it feels like longer because we have filled our time with so many fun, life giving things. If we were still in Virginia, we would be have seasonal depression and be bored out of our minds, only dreaming of whatever tropical vacation we hopefully had planned. Haha!!

Today as we were driving back home from just doing some normal errands like getting an oil change on my car, I was like, “I can’t believe we live in Hawaii.” I have those moments a lot. It’s so easy to take it for granted because places really do start to feel normal once you live there. But I never want to take living here for granted. It truly is the biggest gift.

And getting to photograph these gorgeous families on the most picturesque Hawaii beaches is truly mind blowing. I would never have believed you if you had told me five years ago that this would be my life. Wow. I am so beyond thankful — mostly thankful for the incredible clients who find me and choose to hire me. There are a lot of photographers on this island and it means the world to be the one you choose to work with. So thank you.

This sweet family was so much fun to work with and I think they got one of the most magical sunsets of the year!! So excited to have these live!
