It’s always such a pleasure to capture senior photos and I say this every time I blog one but they truly have my heart. I don’t know what it is but they inspire me creatively in a way that I absolutely adore! I always leave a senior shoot so excited for the photos! When I was first starting photography, I followed a photographer named Michelle Moore out of Seattle and learned SO much from her about posing, lighting, backdrops, etc. and I still think of her quite often when I’m capturing seniors! It’s cool to think back on those days when I had no clue what was in store for me or my business but I was just eating up everything I could to be the best photographer I could be. If only I could have seen a preview of my life now, living in Hawaii and capturing all kinds of people here, I probably would not have believed it!
Gianna lives on Oahu with her family which made this shoot really awesome because she didn’t want beach photos for the entire shoot. Usually my clients are vacationing and the want the most “Hawaii” backdrop that exists here. Haha! Because of that, I don’t often get to shoot in neighborhoods or by buildings. Gianna wanted a mixture so we started on this street I’ve always wanted to shoot on! I used to walk this street with my daughter almost every day and would notice all the fun backdrops so it was really cool to bring that to life for this session!
Gianna, I don’t know if you’ll see this but I still LOVE this shoot of you!! I’m so excited to have it up on the blog! If you’re reading, don’t miss the epic violin shots at the end!
