Wow, it feels so good to finally be blogging this amazing 50th birthday celebration at Makena Golf Club on Maui. I previously blogged the welcome party but this was the official birthday event and boy, was it stunning! Lorrie from Unveiled Hawaii seriously is a visionary and the way she designs and plans events is honestly mind blowing. She has a gift of creating a unique space that will blow away your guests! Coming from Virginia, things tended to be more neutral and white when it came to the design for events but I love that Hawaii embraces color. It brings me so much joy and is such a fun change!

This event took place at the incredible Makena Golf Club, like I said, which is a super exclusive golf club that people like Oprah are members of. I even heard the owner of Nordstrom was there the weekend we were there! So wild! It was really fun to get to actually work on the property and the views were unreal. I had the pleasure of capturing all the magic that happened and it couldn’t have been a better evening! The night was full of delicious food, drinks, hula dancing, fire dancing and a surprise performance by the Dan Band, who appears in movies like the Hangover. The guests were thoroughly enjoying every second of the hilarious skit they performed, which you’ll see at the end of the post.

It was a really fun evening and I hope you all enjoy a little something different than the usual wedding/shoot you see here!
