It has been a minute since I’ve shared a wedding on the blog and this one is incredibly special. I am so excited to have this post live! Coree and Esther are really great friends of ours and you can read more about that on their engagement post. It was such an honor to photograph their day and I truly am blown away at the how well everything came together because Esther basically planned this whole wedding by herself. She spent hours and hours scouring discount stores for glassware, plates, mirrors, and other fun things that would serve as decor. It all turned out so good!
Another fun piece to this day was that the getting ready and ceremony took place at our church! We absolutely LOVE our church here and wouldn’t have the amazing community we have without it so it was really cool getting to witness a wedding at Sunset Beach Christian. Coree’s dad is a pastor in Virginia and he officiated and did such a good job. Sometimes ceremonies can feel a little lackluster and the words of the officiant are very dry and honestly don’t give a good representation of what marriage really means in God’s eyes. But Chuck put it so beautifully and expressed the covenant of marriage so well.
Every time friends of ours get married, I get so excited for them. Marriage obviously has its hard times and it’s not rainbows and butterflies every day. Sometimes you have to work through things to get on the same page and grow together. Everyone has their rough patches, whether it’s at the beginning or later on but ultimately, it’s the best friendship in the world. I truly will never understand the people that scared me about marriage and made it sound like no fun. It’s a TON of fun. And we are so excited for Coree and Esther to get to experience that!
God is so good to have given them to us here in Hawaii as friends and we’re so thankful we get to walk alongside them in this season!! Enjoy their wedding below!
