Keegan and Tommy are the sweetest couple in the world! As we all know, Covid really threw a wrench in the plans for so many brides and grooms. Keegan and Tommy were one of my couples affected by it. They had their wedding planned for 2020 at the stunning Wakefield Barn venue in Wake Forest and I was SO excited. But they ended up having to move their date almost exactly a year later. I actually photographed their official marriage on their original date with a few of their closest family and friends at Tommy’s family’s lakehouse and it was truly the sweetest day. I am beyond thankful I got to be there for that. Small weddings have my heart!

But we finally made it to September 2021 and their original wedding was on! I got to travel to North Carolina for this one and to tell you I was excited for this venue would be a huge understatement! This venue is SO cool! I’ve been dying to shoot at a barn like this for a long time. The reception space is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! But beyond the beauty of the venue was just the beauty of Keegan and Tommy’s relationship. These two have such a special love. Tommy might hate me for saying this but I love that he’s an emotional guy and would cry his eyes out every time he saw Keegan. You cannot miss their first look photos in this post. It’s one of my favorite first looks I’ve photographed and the reason I encourage them!!

Honestly, the entire day was perfect and I’m still dying over Keegan’s bouquet by the amazing Meristem Floral!! Everyone was saying it looked like rainbow sherbet and I don’t think anything is more accurate. Haha! I hope you all enjoy a peek into their wedding day!
